About Araucania
Araucania Yarns is a collective of artisans and designers based in Santiago, Chile, specialising in the hand-dyeing of fibres for knitting and weaving. In the early 2000s the brand was among the first in the Americas to champion hand-painted kettle-dyeing as a signature technique. Fibres are sourced from around the world, including Patagonian wool, Peruvian alpaca, and Egyptian cotton. Because each skein is coloured by hand, no two are identical.
