About Cewec
Cewec was founded in Copenhagen in 1923 by the Christensen family, initially focusing on embroidery design and production. Over the decades the company shifted its core business to quality knitting yarns in cotton, silk, wool, and yak. After three generations of family ownership, the brand was acquired in 2023 by the Danish yarn company Hobbii A/S. Cewec yarns are known for their timeless Scandinavian character and more than a century of craft heritage.
