About Dale Garn
Dale Garn traces its roots to a textile factory established in 1879 in the small Norwegian village of Dale, near Bergen. Hand-knitting yarn production began in 1912, initially using Norwegian wool and later expanding to Merino from Uruguay, New Zealand, and Australia, as well as organic lines such as Pure ECO Wool. Since 2014, the brand has been part of House of Yarn, a Sandnes-based group that also includes Du Store Alpakka and Gjestal Garn. Dale Garn is recognised for keeping Norwegian knitting traditions alive across a wide range of yarn qualities.
