About Malabrigo
Malabrigo is a Uruguayan yarn company founded in 2005 by two brothers-in-law who began dyeing yarn in small pots in a kitchen. Their yarns are predominantly made from 100% Uruguayan merino wool sourced from free-range sheep raised without mulesing. The name "Malabrigo" comes from the windy village of Mal Abrigo in Uruguay, and today the brand is celebrated worldwide for its hand-dyed luxury yarns in vivid, richly saturated colours.
