About Wool and the Gang
Wool and the Gang was founded in London in 2008 by Aurelie Popper and Jade Harwood, two designers who met while studying at Central Saint Martins and went on to work at fashion houses including Alexander McQueen in Paris. The brand built its reputation on stylish knitting kits and chunky yarns designed to make crafting feel contemporary and accessible. Since 2016 it has been part of the DMC Group, now owned by Lion Capital, alongside brands such as Sirdar and Rowan. The range includes yarns made from recycled materials and ethically sourced wool.
